This policy explains who can use QtecX, what changes for people under 18, and what parents and guardians can do. It is part of the Terms of Service.

In short

• You must be 13 or older to use QtecX.
• Under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and the use of your data to improve QtecX is off.
• We ask one question about your age and keep only the answer, never your date of birth.
• Payments, plans and credit packs are for people 18 or older.
• Where the law of your country sets a higher age, that age applies.
• Parents and guardians can ask us to see, change or delete their child's data.

Minimum age

You must be 13 years old or older to create an account or use QtecX. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

The age question

When you sign up, or the first time you enter after signing up with Google, GitHub, Apple or Discord, we ask one question: are you 18 or older, or 13 to 17 with your parent's or guardian's permission? We keep only your answer, never your date of birth. If you are under 13, you cannot create an account, and we keep nothing about you. Please answer truthfully; if we learn that an answer is wrong, we may ask again or close the account as this policy explains.

Where your country sets a higher age for using an online service like QtecX, or for agreeing to the processing of your data on your own (in the European Union this is between 13 and 16, depending on the country; in Egypt, 18), you need your parent's or guardian's permission until you reach that age.

People under 18

If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may use QtecX only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or guardian accepts the Terms of Service for you and is responsible for your use of QtecX, including what you publish.

For people under 18:

• No payments. You cannot buy a plan or credits.
• Model improvement is off. The use of your data to improve QtecX and train our models is off by default for people under 18. Only your parent or guardian can turn it on, in Settings › Data, and they can turn it off again at any time or ask us to.
• No quality samples. The sessions of people under 18 are never sampled for review by people at QtecX. Our automated safety checks protect everyone, including you, and a person may look at your content only for safety, security, support you or your parent or guardian asked for, or the law.
• Be careful in public. Think before you publish a site, a post or a public profile; anyone can see public content.
• Content rules in the Acceptable Use Policy apply to everyone, and we may limit features that are not suitable for younger users.

Payments are 18+

Only people 18 years old or older can buy a plan or credits. At checkout you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are the person paying. If we learn that a purchase was made by someone under 18, we may cancel the plan and refund the payment, in line with the Refund Policy.

For parents and guardians

You can write to hello@qtecx.si with the subject "Parent request" to:

• see the data we hold about your child, and receive a copy;
• correct it;
• turn off model improvement for your child;
• delete your child's account and data;
• withdraw your permission, which closes the account.

We will ask you to show that you are the child's parent or guardian and that the account is your child's, and we answer within one month. The Data Requests page explains the process.

If someone under 13 has an account

If you believe someone under 13 has an account, write to hello@qtecx.si with the subject "Under 13". We will suspend the account, check, and delete it and its data if the person is under 13. We may ask any account holder to confirm their age, and suspend an account until they do.
