QtecX is built around an AI agent that writes, codes, designs and generates media with you. These terms explain who owns what the agent makes, how we use data to improve it, what it must not be used for, and how to report a problem. They are part of the Terms of Service and work together with the Acceptable Use Policy.
In short
- You are working with AI. Its answers can be wrong; check them before you rely on them.
- You own your prompts and the outputs, as far as the law allows. You are responsible for what you ask for and what you publish.
- Our systems automatically check outputs for safety and quality. We use data to improve QtecX and to train our own models, with secrets and personal details removed first; you can turn the training use off in Settings › Data at any time.
- The agent acts for you: it runs code, changes files and works in apps you connect. You are responsible for what you ask it to do.
- No deepfakes, no face swaps or voice clones, no sexual content, no use of anyone's likeness without their explicit consent, no infringing other people's work.
- Generated media may carry an AI marker. Label AI content where the law asks you to.
- Report a problem with the Report button or at hello@qtecx.si.
You are talking to an AI
The agent in QtecX, its sub-agents and the media it generates are artificial intelligence, not people. When something in QtecX is produced by AI, we say so. Messages from other people in a shared session are marked with their name. We follow the transparency duties of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, and we do not use AI in QtecX for the practices it forbids.
What changed in version 2.0: the agent's actions and who is responsible for them; the automated checks of outputs; learning from your corrections; what the model-improvement setting covers; outputs made with your own key. Version 1.4 stays available.
The agent acts for you
The agent does not only answer. It can write and run code, change and delete files in the folders you allow, browse websites, build and publish, and act in apps you connect, within the permissions you give. Asking the agent to do something is your request, and you are responsible for it as if you had done it yourself. Review its plan and its work, especially before anything that cannot be undone. The Terms of Service explain the limits of rewind and of our liability.
Your inputs
"Inputs" are what you give the agent: prompts, instructions, messages, files, images, voice, code and examples. You must have the right to use your inputs, and to let us process them to run the service. Do not upload other people's personal data, confidential material or copyrighted work unless you are allowed to.
Who owns the outputs
"Outputs" are what the agent produces for you: answers, code, documents, designs, sites, games, images, audio, video and 3D models.
- As between you and us, you own the outputs, as far as the law allows, and we give you any rights we may have in them. You may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially.
- Copyright in AI outputs is not the same everywhere. In some countries, content generated by AI without enough human creative input may not be protected by copyright at all. We cannot promise that an output is protected, or that it is unique: the agent may produce similar outputs for other people, and that does not give you rights in theirs.
- Third-party material. An output may contain or resemble material that belongs to someone else (for example open-source code with a licence, a brand, a style, a person's likeness). You are responsible for checking this before you publish or sell an output, and for following any licence that applies.
Outputs made with your own key (QtecX 1 Key) are also yours as between you and us; your provider's terms may add their own conditions.
We keep the rights in QtecX itself: the platform, the agent, its methods and skills, our models and our brand.
Checks on outputs
Our systems automatically check prompts, the agent's steps and outputs (code, games, documents, sites, images, audio, video and 3D models) for illegal content, abuse, malware and quality problems. A check may refuse a request, stop a generation or hold an output for review. A person looks at your content only under the rules in the Privacy Policy, and every look is logged. These checks are always on.
Improving QtecX and its models
When you correct the agent or rate an answer, it learns for you first; what it learns for everyone is combined, carries nothing that identifies you and is reviewed by a person first.
We use content and usage data to improve QtecX, including to train and improve our own AI models and the agent that power it. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Data › "Use my data to improve QtecX models"; it is on by default for every plan, and off by default for people under 18. Private and temporary items, the code backup (in either mode), secrets and data that identify you are never used, and a shared project's work is used only when everyone who contributed allows it. Secrets and personal details are removed before anything is stored for training. Turning the setting off does not turn off the safety checks. The Privacy Policy explains the lawful basis and the safeguards.
No warranties on AI output
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, biased, offensive or unsafe, even when it sounds confident. The agent can misunderstand you, invent facts or sources, and write code with bugs or security holes.
- Check outputs before you rely on them, publish them or run them in anything important.
- Outputs are not professional advice. Do not use them for legal, medical, financial, tax, safety or other regulated decisions without a qualified person checking them.
- Outputs are provided "as is", without any promise of accuracy, quality or fitness for a purpose, to the extent the law allows. The Terms of Service set out the limits of our liability.
What you must not use the agent for
Everything in the Acceptable Use Policy applies. In particular, do not ask the agent to create, and do not publish:
- child sexual abuse material of any kind, real or generated; we report it to the authorities;
- sexually explicit content, and any sexual or degrading content of a real person;
- deepfakes, face swaps, voice clones or imitations of a real person, or any content using a person's likeness without their explicit consent;
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, including copying a living artist's specific works, cracking or pirating software, or removing watermarks;
- impersonation of a person, brand or organisation, fake documents, or content that hides or lies about its AI origin in order to deceive;
- harmful content: illegal content, hate or incitement, harassment, doxxing, malware, phishing, weapons capable of mass harm, or self-harm encouragement;
- automated decisions about people (jobs, credit, housing, education, access to services) without lawful grounds and meaningful human review;
- election or political manipulation, mass disinformation, or fake reviews and engagement.
Our safety checks may refuse a request, stop a generation, or hold an output or a hosted site for review. Trying to get around them (for example by "jailbreak" prompts) breaks these terms.
Labelling AI content
- Markers. Images, audio, video and 3D models generated in QtecX may carry a machine-readable marker or metadata that shows they were made with AI. Do not remove or alter it in order to mislead.
- Your duty to label. If you publish AI-generated or AI-manipulated images, audio or video that look like real people, places or events, say clearly that they are AI-generated, as the EU AI Act and other laws require. If you publish AI-generated text to inform the public on matters of public interest, say it was AI-generated unless a person reviewed it and takes editorial responsibility. Obvious art, satire and fiction need only a light, non-intrusive note.
- Hosted sites and apps. If your site or app lets its visitors talk to an AI, tell them they are talking to an AI.
Reporting and takedown
If you see an output or published content that breaks these terms, infringes your rights or is illegal, use the "Report" button where it is shown, or write to hello@qtecx.si with the subject "Report". Copyright and trademark complaints follow the Copyright and Takedown Policy. We review reports, remove what breaks the rules, give the person affected a statement of reasons and let them appeal, as the Acceptable Use Policy explains. Accounts that repeatedly break these rules are closed.
Your responsibility to others
If you use the agent or its outputs in a way that breaks these terms or someone else's rights, you are responsible for the result. If you use QtecX for a business, you will cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from your inputs, your outputs or your published content. This does not apply to consumers.
