Getting started
- Create an account and choose your handle, which is unique across QtecX. Your account may wait in review until there is room; a valid invite code opens it at once.
- Start a session and describe what you want to make: a site, an app, a game or a document. The agent plans the work, builds it and shows you the result.
- Keep related work in a project. A project holds its sessions, files and memory together.
The desktop app
- The desktop app runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. macOS and Linux are coming.
- It signs you in through your browser and updates itself in the background.
- Tools it needs later download the first time you need them and are removed when you uninstall the app.
- If Windows SmartScreen warns about the installer, choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer is not code-signed yet. Download it only from QtecX's official links: qtecx.co, or the Download button inside QtecX on the web.
Folders and rights
- The agent works only in the folders you link to a session or a project, in place, without copying them.
- Each folder is Read only, Ask or Full. Change it at any time; work outside your folders needs your explicit approval.
- The code of a desktop project is kept in an encrypted backup on our server. In private mode the key stays on your devices, and we cannot read the backup.
Teams and sharing
- Invite people to a project or a session to work together. Everyone has their own account, and the project owner decides who joins and what they can do.
- Roles are Owner, Admin, Member and Viewer. A Viewer reads and never acts.
- A shared session is QtecX's multiplayer: several people talk with the same agent at the same time. Each message carries its sender's name, and the agent answers each person by name and acts within their role.
- A teammate's request runs on your desktop computer only when you lend it to them, and only within the folder rights you set.
Privacy and data
- You own your content. We may use data to improve QtecX and its models; you can turn this off in Settings › Data controls.
- Download your data or delete your account in Settings › Account. You can change your cookie choice at any time in Cookie settings.
Credits and payments
- Payments are not open yet; plans and prices will be published on the pricing page first.
- Free credits, such as welcome credits, have no cash value and may expire. When your credits run out, work stops at a safe point until you receive more.
