Refund Policy
This policy explains how plans, credit packs, refunds, withdrawals and chargebacks work on QtecX. It is part of the Terms of Service.
In short
- Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. It takes the payment, handles tax and sends refunds.
- You can ask for a refund within 14 days of any purchase, for any reason. We refund the part you have not used.
- After 14 days, we still refund when the service failed you, or when the law says so.
- Cancel a plan at any time; it runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- A chargeback pauses paid features until the dispute is settled.
- Only people 18 or older can buy a plan or credits.
What changed in version 2.0: nothing in how refunds work; the version moves with our other policies. In version 1.3, Paddle is named as our Merchant of Record; every purchase now has a 14-day refund window for any reason, refunded for the part not used; credit packs are valid for 12 months; the effect of a chargeback is explained. For purchases made before 2026-10-21 the more generous of the two versions applies. Version 1.4, version 1.3, version 1.2, version 1.1 and version 1.0 stay available.
Who sells to you
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes the payment, charges the sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, issues your invoice and processes refunds. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase. Where they give you more than this policy, you keep it.
Only people 18 years old or older can buy a plan or credits.
What you can buy
- Plans (Pro and Max): a monthly or yearly subscription that gives you a number of credits each month, bigger computers and more of them at once. Plan credits do not carry over: at each monthly renewal your balance is topped up to your plan's monthly amount.
- Credit packs: a one-time purchase of credits, valid for 12 months from the purchase.
Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page.
The 14-day refund window
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of any payment (a new plan, a renewal or a credit pack), for any reason.
- Nothing used: if you have not spent any of the credits that payment gave you, you get a full refund.
- Partly used: you get a pro-rated refund for the part you have not used. The part not used is the share of that payment's credits still unspent. For example, if a payment gave you 1,700 credits and 1,190 are still unspent (70%), you get 70% of that payment back.
- What happens to the credits: the unspent credits from that payment are removed from your balance when the refund is made. A refund never takes your balance below zero.
- Plans: when a plan payment is refunded, the plan ends when the refund is made and the account returns to the Free plan. Your work is never deleted.
After 14 days
After 14 days, payments are not normally refunded, but we refund, in full or in part, when:
- the service did not work as described, or was seriously unavailable, for reasons on our side;
- credits were used by a fault on our side (for example a failure that spent credits without doing the work); we usually restore the credits instead, and we do this on our own when we find such a fault;
- you were charged by mistake, or twice;
- the law where you live requires it.
Your right of withdrawal in the EU and the UK
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a purchase made online, without giving a reason.
- At checkout you can ask for the plan or the credits to start immediately. If you expressly agree to that and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the digital content or service has been fully provided, the right ends for what has been provided. Our 14-day refund window above still applies, so you always get back the part not used.
- To withdraw, use the withdrawal or refund link in your Paddle receipt, go to paddle.net, or write to us (see "How to ask"). A clear statement that you withdraw is enough.
- We, or Paddle, refund without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, to the payment method you used.
Cancelling a plan
You can cancel at any time in Settings › Wallet. The plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not renewed. Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period; ask for a refund within 14 days if you want one. A yearly plan cancelled after its first 14 days runs until the end of the year paid for.
Changing plans
A change of plan takes effect at once. Paddle charges or credits the difference pro rata, and we show it to you before you confirm.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, your plan stays for a short grace period (shown in Settings › Wallet) while you update your payment method. After the grace period, the account returns to the Free plan. Your work is never deleted because a payment failed.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please talk to us or to Paddle first: most problems are solved quickly. If you open a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer:
- paid features on your account pause while the dispute is open;
- the unspent credits from the disputed payment are taken back (never below zero);
- when the dispute is settled in your favour or withdrawn, we restore your access; if it is decided against you, the payment is treated as refunded.
Repeated or abusive chargebacks may lead us to close the account under the Terms.
Free credits
Free credits (welcome, monthly, promotional) cost nothing, so they are not refundable, cannot be exchanged for money and may expire.
Closing your account
If you close your account, free credits are lost. If you have unspent paid credits from a purchase in the last 14 days, ask for a refund before you close the account. For older paid credits, write to us before you close the account and we will tell you your options.
Prices
We show prices including the tax that applies where you live, or say clearly when tax is added at checkout. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice; a change never applies to a period you already paid for.
How to ask for a refund
- Use the link in your Paddle receipt, or go to paddle.net and find your order; or
- write to support@qtecx.si with the subject "Refund", the email or handle of your account, the purchase (date, amount and the invoice or order number if you have it) and, if you want, why.
We answer within 3 working days and refunds are processed through Paddle to the original payment method. Banks usually take 5 to 10 working days to show the money.
